It just happened.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve seen this 280 around for long time, it’s a rough runner

Kinja'd!!!

And perhaps my favorite recent spotting, this cool ‘66 Valiant. Love seeing unrestored old cars in normal use, and this one reminds me of the my old Fairlane.

Well yeah, presumably none of these need to be pushed.

It looked damn nice, especially in that light. That was the second one I saw tonight, I followed a white ‘65 home that sounded mean and had skinnies in front.

That Valiant is amazing, just expected different wheels on it! These don’t look exactly period correct, or are they?

You’re right, they’re not original. If I’m not mistaken, those are base model 90's Jeep XJ or Wrangler wheels. Not period, but I kind of like them.

I think you’re right about the Jeep thing. They’re certainly not ugly on it, I’d prefer this style though.

Kinja'd!!!

Not that color of course!

What year Fairlane did you have? I (well, Dad owned it, but it was supposed to be our project car- he never had any interest in it, but I loved it, hence the “I”) had a ‘63.

Cool! Mine was a ‘66, 200/cruise-o-matic, original paint. Rusty but I dug it, it was my daily for most of last year.

Good looking car! Mine had a 260 that barely ran with the 2 speed Fordomatic. It had a B&M shifter designed for a C4 or C6 and it kicked like a mule. It also had Cherry Bombs on it. It smoked like Hell. Also, the floor boards were rotted out. Damn, I miss that car.

Mine had a cherry bomb and  horrible floors too, and with cut springs it rode terribly, but it ran well and I enjoyed it. Sold it back to the previous owner at his request.

Christ, our street used to be terrible, and we quickly realized something had to be done about the front shocks. That’s basically the only work we did to it.
